The Secrets of Yoga Asana

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

We quite often hear that asana is among many Yogic aspects, but a 200 hour Yoga teacher training program may concentrate on asana for 100 hours. Yoga asana is essentially an in-depth internal massage. While you undertake a number of postures the muscles, bones and organs bend, twist, flex, contract, lengthen and release with one another. In manipulating the body by doing this, energy blockages are freed and also the organs massaged.

Nerve channels open to clear a pathway for circulation by alternately flushing and emptying the blood and lymph vessels. This flushing or squeezing creates a massaging motion about the internal organs keeping them pliable and healthy. Regular Yoga asana practice encourages the spine being supple as the joints move freely, while muscles lengthen and loosen.

The joints are able to bend and turn as more space is made for maneuverability. By keeping regular Yoga practices going you’re adding to your personal good health by continuing to keep the power flowing freely. The body becomes a conduit for creative life force as it begins the healing process. Because the energy flows freely due to you, you start to feel invigorated and re-charged in a position to function all of the better at the healthiest. Starting to undertake life strong inside your purpose and feeling connected!

To rehearse Yoga asana would be to undo the obstructions and limitations within your body and mind to allow for the free flow of creative life force energy. If the flow of one’s that connects you to definitely the universal rhythm diminishes or becomes obstructed then health problems will arise.

Moving with the various postures (asana) enables the energy flow to move in other directions that your body normally wouldn’t assume. Each posture brings movement to the affected region opening tight spots while you funnel your time to that specific area. By bringing your inhale to help loosen and release blockages the tissue around that area softens.

Stretching is really a natural self-remedy and I encourage you to take some time with this practice nurturing yourself for a short while every day. A lot of people tune out their body’s cries for help only to discover that over the years they be, and more, stiff as arthritic diseases set in. I can’t stress enough the significance of nourishing, and thereby honoring your body in the Yogic way every day. Working out kinks and tension as they arise will keep you feeling loose and relaxed as your natural posture improves. Simple lengthening and loosening stretches can be done anytime, anywhere-even at the workstation!

When the thoughts are disconnected from the body, you will go through the following: illness, uncertainty, stress, discomfort, fear, doubt, helplessness, depression, aloneness, heaviness, malnourishment, bad habits, and negativity.

Yoga for Health & Happiness

Thanks for visiting the field of Yoga and also to be ready to become enriched with Yoga spiritual knowledge and wisdom. Yoga may be the ancient forerunner of the holistic lifestyle so when its wisdom is properly understood and established within the unconscious, your practice of Yoga about the mat will proceed to a deeper dimension.

Let me kickstart my contribution with Yoga and Health & Happiness.

The words Health and Happiness in many cases are used as synonyms, as if when the first is healthy is satisfied or when the first is happy is good. Yet while being of the same sense, the same kind, they are different in form.

One that is good, may not be happy; are affected from mental negative blockages. And one who’s happy might not be healthy; may suffer from a sickness but may have the mental strength to become happy. In a non-spiritual way health belongs to the body and happiness is one of the mind.

Yoga, in line with the trinity body, mind and spirit is the most ancient forerunner of holistic health insurance and saying “we are spirit with mental experiences in a human body” this in opposition to we are human bodies, with mental and spiritual experiences. And also the bonding force is the breath.

We can survive without food a couple weeks. We are able to survive without water a couple of days. Yet we can’t survive a few minutes without breath, because breath carries prana, the cosmic life force. With every inhaling we inhale the cosmic life force. Oxygen may be the vessel of prana. Therefor, first and foremost, we have to breath properly; to see health insurance and happiness depends upon proper breathing.

Yogis of ancient times were conscious of the shallow breathing patterns used by mankind, thus keeping toxins inside the body. They developed a variety of methods to regulate the breath through bodily movements, called asanas and pranayam. That’s why the practice of asanas – bodily postures – differs using their company forms of exercise. The flow of postures – to get in, to keep and to emerge from a posture – must be synchronized with properly flowing breath. This way the body clears itself from toxins, simultaneously freeing negative emotional blockages, which calm the chatting mind. A calm thoughts are a prerequisite for the practice of meditation; the ultimate spiritual discipline for our happiness to surface.

During Yoga classes we have the advantage that people have been in the presence of a master or perhaps a well informed teacher who can teach us the techniques – we cannot learn techniques from books alone – and we have been in the vibration of the supportive environment of like-minded practitioners, that is uplifting for the spirit.

However, Yoga is an inner journey, a journey to experience one’s own body, your own mind, and ultimately one’s spirit, the Self. Health insurance and happiness follow in exchange of sincere practice and being confident with one self. Also, using the number of the body postures we nourish our nervous system, we normalize and balance the glands and rejuvenate the abdominal organs. In short we give ourselves an in-depth tissue massage. In classes we learn techniques, at home, ALONE, alone, we deepen all of the benefits when we hear the twin messages coming from the mind and body and heed them in equanimity.
